Tot Classes (3-5 years)

Class is designed to team the child (2 years+) the proper way to:

  • Fall down and get up
  • March in place
  • March while moving

Parent will attend the class to encourage, support and interact with the skater in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Will learn proper way to:

Will learn to do:

Will learn to use edges to generate power and speed, step/turn combinations, and class patterns & safety protocols to prepare skaters to take the Power Skating class. 

This class is a drop in skate that is offered on Saturday's at 8:40am. In this class the skater will develop strength not only on the ice but off the ice as well.

Skaters will enhance their skating by working on advanced jumps, spins, step sequences, spiral sequences and music interpretation.

Will learn a variety of spins including the basic spin positions (scratch, reverse, camel, sit), and combination spins. 

Will learn a variety of variations on basic spin positions, flying spins (flying camel, flying sit, death drop), and combination spins. 

Youth Hockey Classes (6-15 Years)

  • March forward, then glide on two feet
  • Forward swizzles (6 in a row)
  • V-Start
  • Forward one-foot pushes
  • Beginning snowplow stop, in place (right and left)
  • Forward crossovers (clockwise and counterclockwise)
  • Forward strides using 45 degree V-Push, focus on good recovery and alternating arm drive
  • Crossover starts
  • Backward skating
  • Moving forward snowplow stop (right and left)
  • Backward one-foot glides (right and left, 2 seconds)
  • Backward crossovers (clockwise and counterclockwise)
  • One-foot edge turning
  • Pivot turns
  • Hockey stops

Adult Classes (16+ years)

  • 2-Foot Glide
